Nobel Prize Laureate Harald Zur Hausen held a lecture before a full amphitheatre at the University of Split Faculty of Economics

On May 25th, at the Amphitheatre of the Faculty of Economics in Split which was filled to the very last seat, 2008 Nobel prize laureate for medicine, Harald Zur Hasuen, held a lecture “In search of viruses – causative agents of malignant tumours”.
Given that Mr. Hausen is one of the leading scientists thanks to his discovery that HPV virus causes cervical cancer, it is no surprise that his lecture created such interest. Croatia’s famous scientist Ivan Đikić, member of NobelST’s organising committee was the moderator. During this lecture which was 90 minutes long, visitors were able to find out more about the causes and prevention of malignant illnesses.
